Apply to be a Pathways Volunteer

To learn more about becoming a volunteer, contact the Manager of Volunteer Services in your area or download and complete a Volunteer Application Form and return it by e-mail or mail it to the address listed on the form. We have a place waiting for you.

Qualifications

Specific qualifications depend on the program to which the volunteer chooses to give time.

• Minimum age for all volunteer positions is 15 years; 18 years for programs with direct patient contact.
• Minimum time commitment of 2 hours per week with the exception of special projects and events where support is needed require a 4 month commitment.
• Volunteers must complete the orientation and training required for the specific program.
• All volunteers who work in the office or in a direct patient care role will receive a two-step TB test, pre-placement health screen, and a background check.
  

Training

Pathways offers training sessions throughout the Bay Area to prepare volunteers with the skills needed to work with patients and their families. Volunteers who choose administrative or other support functions also receive an orientation and on-the-job training. To learn more about Upcoming Trainings, click here.
