Intero Foundation Awards Grant to Pathways Hospice KIDS Program

Sunnyvale, CA — October 9, 2014 –The Intero Foundation has awarded Pathways Home Health & Hospice, a home health, palliative care and hospice agency, a $3,500 grant in support of their Pathways KIDS program. Pathways KIDS provides health care and home visits for children with serious illnesses.

“Helping children in our communities is the primary goal of the Intero Foundation,” said Kraig Constantino, Foundation Ambassador and Event Coordinator at Intero Foundation. “With our focus on youth and children, the Pathways KIDS program is an ideal match for our grant and support.”

The Pathways KIDS program is a specially trained home health and hospice medical team for children with life threatening illnesses. Available on call 24 hours a day for consultation or home visits when needed, the Pathways KIDS Team addresses the physical, psychological, social, cultural and spiritual needs of each family. The team includes the resources of a certified in Hospice and Palliative Medicine physician and pediatric specialty nurses to provide pain and symptom management.

“When a child is diagnosed with a very serious illness, making the right decisions can be hard. The Intero Foundation grant will help Pathways provide care and guidance to families facing very difficult and confusing times,” said Sandra Coolidge, vice president of admissions, public relations and philanthropy. “With their support our Pathways KIDS team will be able to attend to the special needs of these vulnerable children and their families in our community.”
