Pathways Hospice Offers Evening of Remembrance Memorial Service in San Mateo

Sunnyvale, CA — May 7, 2014 – Pathways Home Health, Hospice & Private Duty invites individuals who are grieving to remember and honor a loved one in the company of others at an Evening of Remembrance Memorial Service, Sunday, May 18, 2014, 3-4 pm at Skylawn Memorial Park, Highway 92 at Skyline Boulevard, San Mateo, CA 94402.

The Pathways Hospice Evening of Remembrance Memorial Service is non-denominational, and includes a short program with music, readings and support. Open to the public and free of charge, RSVP’s are encouraged but not required to 1(888) 905-2800, ext. 4241 or bereavement@commonspirithealthathome.org.

The Evening of Remembrance Memorial Service includes inspirational readings, moments of silence and the creation of a flower bouquet. Attendees are encouraged to join others individuals who are mourning to build this remembrance bouquet one flower at a time. Each flower added to the bouquet represents a lost loved one and signifies love and respect. Pathways Hospice will have flowers available, but please feel free to bring a special flower in honor of your loved one to place in the bouquet.

“Grief can be very isolating,” said Chris Taich, director of bereavement services at Pathways Hospice. “Individuals who are grieving will find a place of comfort at our Evening of Remembrance Memorial Service. It is a good place to gain support and begin to heal from loss.”

Pathways bereavement services are made possible through generous donations from the community to Pathways Home Health, Hospice & Private Duty. Services are available to anyone in the community and include information and referrals, grief support groups, remembrance events, grief workshops, individual counseling, educational material, and community presentations.
