Pathways Links to the Heart Golf Tournament at Stanford on July 11, 2016 dedicated to the memory of Wayne Randolph Brown

Sunnyvale, Calif. — Pathways Home Health & Hospice Golf Committee Co-Chairs Jim and Sally Young and Tito and Cameron Bianchi announced that Pathways’ 4th annual Links to the Heart Tournament at Stanford is dedicated to the memory of Wayne Randolph Brown. This dedication was initiated by a dear friend and longtime golfing partner of Wayne Brown in tribute to everything good Wayne represented.

Family and friends alike agree that joining Pathways supporters on July 11, 2016, at the celebrated Stanford University Golf Course, is one of the best ways to remember Stanford alum, avid golfer, and nationally-recognized home builder, Wayne Randolph Brown (1922–2016), a founder of Brown & Kauffmann, Inc.

In February 2016, Wayne passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family and cared for by Pathways Hospice. “He was greatly comforted in his final months by the knowledgeable, kind, patient nurses, social worker, and spiritual care counselor that Pathways sent his way. Our family is very grateful to the Pathways team,” said Wayne’s daughter, Melinda Brown Norcott.

“Please join members of the Brown family and Pathways supporters for a round of golf—or come raise a toast at the post-tourney dinner in memory of our great friend and devoted family man, Wayne Brown,” said Links to the Heart Co-Chair Jim Young.

Golfers at the 4th annual Links to the Heart tournament will have the rare opportunity to play the exclusive Stanford University Golf Course while supporting the Pathways.

The tournament will begin with registration at 10:00 a.m. and a shotgun start at 11:30 a.m. The registration fee is $395 per player or $1,580 for a foursome. The Hole-In-One Prize is a 2016 Lexus ES Sedan, compliments of Magnussen Lexus of Fremont. Putting Contest first prize is a Titleist 916 D2 Men’s Driver. The silent auction item is a fabulous golf package for four at the exclusive Kohanaiki golf resort on Hawaii’s Big Island. The registration fee includes 30 free practice balls, welcome bag, box lunch, complimentary refreshments on the course, and golf cart, as well as reception and dinner following the tournament.

Pathways welcomes both corporate and individual sponsorships for this annual tournament. All proceeds support the Pathways Clinical Team for Inpatient Hospice Services at Stanford Hospital.

Sponsorships are available in many dollar amounts, and in-kind donations are welcome. Gifts in memory of loved ones are also encouraged. Sponsors receive a range of benefits, depending on sponsorship level.
